Ozarks Pridefest 2023: We Are Family will be on June 10, 2023 on the square in downtown Springfield from Noon – 6pm, rain or shine. There will be 80 vendors to visit with as well as live performances throughout the day.
Items to bring:
- Lawn Chair/Blanket
- Umbrella
- Sunscreen
Other Notes:
Event is rain or shine (except lightning). Please ignore potential protestors as much as possible and instead allow the security personnel and trained peacekeepers, who are designated for such situations and possess relevant expertise, to handle it appropriately.
Headliner Crystal Methyd
We’re absolutely elated to announce our 2023 Ozarks Pridefest headliner — Crystal Methyd! Hailing from right here in Springfield, MO, she is the Queen City’s Crust Punk DIY Fairy Godmother and a Season 12 Finalist of RuPaul’s Drag Race!
Pride Parade
Check-in
The Parade route will be different than years past due to construction on Jefferson Ave. The Pridefest 2023 Parade will step off at 11:15am at the Springfield Municipal Court parking lot on the corner of Chestnut Expy and N Benton Ave. See map below. If you are leaving a vehicle at this location, please review posted parking restrictions before doing so.
If you signed up for a float or are driving a vehicle in the parade please arrive between 10:15-10:30 am. If you are walking in the parade please arrive between 10:30-10:45. All floats and vehicles will travel first followed by all walking groups. Walking group order will be organized by check in.
Please check in in-person with Courtney Cook. She will be the one helping people get in line and running around with the clipboard.
Motorized Vehicles
Any motorized vehicle, scooter, bike, cart etc must continue straight on Olive St or turn right on Boonville and NOT turn left to enter the Square. No motor vehicles will be allowed through the roadblocks into the square. Please plan accordingly to off load any participants in a nearby parking lot on Olive, or by turning right on Boonville to exit the parade route.
Parade Rules
- Please be respectful of music volume and content if you plan to amplify any music from your group.
- Please no smoking or drinking while on the parade route
- If your group plans to toss any candy, beads etc. while traveling down the parade route, please do so with caution. Nothing may be thrown from a moving vehicle.
In the event of an emergency while on the parade route, please flag down an SFPD officer or call 911.

- Traditional 10×10 Booth and 2-4 minutes on the main stage to tell the crowd about your organization OR
- Forgo your own booth or stage presence to help cover costs for a local QTBIPOC vendor (Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, People of Color).
To fill out sponsorship forms, you will need your business license information including Official Business Name, License Number, and License Expiration Date unless you decide to forgo your booth space.
